We have a hope

We have a light

We have a purpose

We have a guide

We have a strength to always lean on

We have a hope

We have a light

When I’m doubting, you’ll be faithful

When I’m weary, you’ll hold on

When I’m empty, you will fill me

With your mercies each and every day

We have the truth

We have the life

We have the amour

We have the right

We have the courage to carry on

New Name In Glory

Written by: Holly Shaw, Macy Shaw & C. Austin Miles | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

Once a sinner, I had no savior

No one to turn to, No hope to cling to

But Jesus found me, light to my darkness

Now I’m forgiven and I know

Chorus:

There’s a new name written down for me in glory

And it’s mine, oh yes it’s mine

And the white robe angels sing the story

A sinner’s come home

There’s a new name written down for me in glory

And it’s mine, and it’s mine

Verse 2:

No longer broken, no longer wanderin’

No longer hurtin’ No longer searchin’

At last my soul has, found it’s hope

I’m on my way home and I know

One Step Closer

Written by: Holly Shaw & Macy Shaw | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

Making the most of each day, we all strive to do

But how that looks is different, for me and for you

One day we’re up, one day we’re down

Spinning wheels or gaining ground

Life is a journey, and we’re always learning

Chorus:

Every step you take

Every trail you make

Leads you onward

Leads you homeward

Every path you trod

Every mile you log

Leads you closer, one step closer

To where you want to be

To where you want to be

Verse 2:

Don’t get discouraged, and don’t ever give in

We may lose the battle, but the war we will win

Through sunny days or darkest nights

We’re not alone in this fight

God’s right beside you, and He will never leave you

Keep Praying

Written by: Holly Shaw | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

Daniel was a righteous man

Loved the Lord with all his heart

Never bended to the King’s command

Even when his world went dark

He heard the men conspiring against him

Sounds of laughter as they plotted his demise

The edict came and Daniel

Went inside and opened the door

It didn’t matter if a trial

Came he’d continue as before

He knew that God above was always with him

Nothing in this life could take him from his father’s loving hand

Chorus:

Keep on praying, and believing

No need to be afraid

Keep on knocking, and trusting

Steadfast in faith always

And even if the answer seems delayed

Keep on praying, keep on praying

Verse 2:

So Christian as you live each day

Encounters come to test your faith

Behind the present circumstance

There’s a bigger plan in place

In those times of need know you don’t fight alone

Before you call He promises help is on the way

Christmas That Night

Written by: Holly Shaw | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

All is hushed the night is still

Snow is falling down

Twinkling lights illuminate

The darkness all around

By the fire we gather to share the warmth

With love and good cheer

Presents with bows a tree so bright

It’s feeling like Christmas that night

Chorus:

Our minds go back to that special night

Jesus in the manger his parents beside him

Shepherd bowed down on bended knee

Pledging their allegiance to the King of Kings

Angels surrounding them up in the sky

Singing “Gloria, Gloria”

Verse 2:

On another night, years ago hope was finally found

A star lit up that special night and glory shown around

In a manger so small beneath that start laid the Savior of our hearts

His parents were watching with grateful eyes, it felt like Christmas that night

Stars and Stripes

Written by: Holly Shaw | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

It was the first thing that he looked for

By dawns early light

To see if it was flying and had made it through the night

And when the sun rose over the mountain

Lighting up the sky

It was shining like a beacon, our nation’s joy and pride

Chorus:

Fly proudly, Fly true

May we always honor you

In the memory of those who died

For the beautiful stars and stripes, for the beautiful stars and stripes

Verse 2:

If it is worth dying for

Then it is worth standing for

A tribute to our soldiers and for those left behind

So when you see Old Glory waving

Salute standing tall

It’s the symbol of our freedom

Thanks to those who gave their all

Tag:

In the memory of those who died

For the beautiful stars and stripes

For the beautiful stars and stripes

He Brought Us Joy

Verse 1:

Lights strung everywhere

Carols in the air

And everybody’s got their

Reason for singing this season

And mine is

Chorus:

He brought us joy

He brought us love

Ne brought us healing

And that’s why we sing

He brought us life

He brought us peace

He brought us everything we need

And that’s why we sing

Verse 2:

Though years have gone by

We still remember why

A child was born to a waiting world

For peace on earth

I Don't Need to Worry

Written by: Holly Shaw & Macy Shaw | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

Situations, complications

Seems the world is tryin’ to get me down

Conversations, reputations

Many things I’m wrappin’ my brain around

But I wave them all goodbye with

a twinkle in my eye

I hung my problems out to dry

A long, long time ago

Chorus:

I don’t need to worry, I don’t need to fear

In every situation, I know God is near

So sleep is Sweet tonight.

I don’t need to worry, I don’t need to fear

My father is watching over me

And he never sleeps,

His angels surround me

I don’t need to worry

Verse 2:

Expectations, obligations

People placing all of them on me

Speculations, presentations

Only God knows what the future will be

So I wave them all goodbye

With a twinkle in my eye

I gave my life to God above

A long, long time ago

You're Perfect

Written by: Macy Shaw | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

I have never been around someone who’s so charming

And oh your laugh and your cute smile

It’s just overwhelming

But I know somewhere down this road

You will meet some rough parts

Cause come won’t always see you as

The person who you are

Chorus:

You, I couldn’t have dreamed of someone more beautiful than

You, every time I look in those eyes I just fall in love

With perfect, oh you’re perfect just the way you are

Verse 2:

You are someone who’s created fearfully and made

You are treasured you are precious; made to be you every day

You are created for a purpose, part of a plan and design

And some sweet day we’ll see how everything aligned

Birthday of A King

Written by: Justus Shaw & William H. Neidlinger | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

In the village of Bethlehem

There lay a child one day

And the sky was bright with a holy light

O’er the place where Jesus lay

Chorus:

Hallelujah! How the angels sang hallelujah

How it rang! And the sky was bright with a holy light

Twas the birthday of a King

Verse 2:

Twas a humble birthplace

But O how much God gave to us that day

From the manger bed what a path has led

What a perfect, holy way

Touch of His Hands

Written by: Holly Shaw | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

Who knew His hands would ever hold a hammer

But His father was a builder, so He did

As the boy grew turned into a man

Still unknown throughout the land

Nothing stayed the same about those hands

Time went on and soon those hands were healing

Making the lame man to walk again

They were clearing out the temple

Encouraging the people

And everywhere He went it was those hands

Chorus:

They were scarred they were bruised

Crushed and pierced through

Seemed like those hands had been through everything

But they were gentle they were kind

They opened up my eyes

And I’ll never no never forget

The touch of his hands

Verse 2:

Until we safely cross over Jordan

Those hands will wipe the tears from our eyes

They will cheer us and protect us

Never letting go of us

Until that day they welcome us to glory

My Savior Lives

Written by: Macy Shaw | Arranged by Citizens of Glory | © Citizens of Glory

Verse 1:

Who made the stars to shine in the evening

Who made the sun to rise on the good and the evil

It’s the King of all Kings; the Ruler of All

Who made all the four seasons?

Who gave life to this universe?

He is the only reason we live here upon this earth

Chorus:

My Savior lives, my Savior lives

He holds the whole world in His hands and yet

He lives in my heart

The love He gives, for our sins He forgives

Let my whole life testify He lives

My Savior lives yeah, yeah

Verse 2:

I don’t know what tomorrow will bring

I don’t know what the future holds

But I know He is King and I know in His word I’m told
